The Museum of Life + Science in a non-profit organization located near the heart of Durham. Our mission is to create a place of lifelong learning where people, from young child to senior citizen, embrace science as a way of knowing about themselves, their community, and their world. Summer camps are developed by full-time Museum staff and led by experienced educators in an informal and fun learning environment. Each classroom will have an adult educator, an assistant and a youth volunteer to help provide a quality hands-on experience. Camps 1st - 8th grade will have a maximum of 18 children and preK - K will have a maximum of 16 children.

Camps sessions are offered June 11 - August 24 at the Museum in Durham and July 2 - 27 at Rashkis Elementary in Chapel Hill. Our official camp hours are from 9 am to 3 pm, but with our extended hours you can drop your child off at any time between 89 am and pick them up between 35:30 pm.

Durham topics include: Going Green, LEGO(R) Robotics, Oceanography, Around the World, Science Sampler, Invent and Build, Wild Things, Behind the Scenes, and NanoScience

Chapel Hill topics include: Water Science, Art and Science, Future Doctors, Animal Care, and Astronomy.

Weekly fees

$275 Members $300 non-members

Extended care with enrichment is available at both locations.

$20/week Before Care: 8-9 am $35/week After Care: 3-5:30 pm
