Hands-on learning at the Gorge Waterway Nature House
This summer, World Fisheries Trust will be hosting summer camps at the Gorge Waterway Nature House for kids aged 6 – 12 during one week in July and one week in August. Kids will build their knowledge in identifying marine intertidal species in our live marine touch tank, as well as learn about native plants and animals, and learn skills to test water quality and gain an understanding of the importance of our local watersheds. Each day will be themed to cover different environmental topics, including plants, animals, healthy oceans, exploration, and water experiments. The goal of our summer camps is for kids to have fun while learning about the importance of our local environment and how this ecosystem functions. These camps are geared towards giving kids the opportunity to touch, see and learn about our local environment, and how they can help protect it!
Camps will be running:
July 20-24th
August 10-14th
The camps run from 9am – 4pm and are $225/week.
