DescriptionBack to top

New London County's 4-H Camp was founded in 1947 on 24 1/2 acres in Franklin, Connecticut as an educational/recreational facility. The camp is open to all youth 6-14 years of age without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, religion or disability. Teens ages 14-17 may apply for the Teen Leadership Program and will be selected on the basis of leadership interests and capabilities. Campers need not be a 4-H member to attend. 4-H Camp provides youngsters with an experience in group living in the out-of-doors. Through a wide variety of activities, that focus on self development, environmental awareness and a concern for health and safety, campers develop a greater understanding of themselves, others and the world around them
