DescriptionBack to top

New Rep Summer Studio is a 4-week program geared towards high school students (grades 9-12) at any experience level who are interested in performing and exploring various approaches and methods to developing the craft of acting. Students will have the opportunity to work with professional Boston-based actors and teaching artists through a series of classes, workshops, rehearsals, and performances. At the end of the program, each student will gain the tools and most importantly the confidence to approach the art of performance.
The Program will focus on two different areas:
AM (9:00-12:00pm): First youll get real professional experience with acting warm-ups, follwed by conservatory classes. Then, on Fridays students will engage in several workshops geared towards helping them support their craft and achieve personal goals.
PM (12:45-4:00pm): In the afternoon its time for rehearsal! Collaborating in groups, the afternoons will focus on scene study, musical rehearsals, and choreography all culminating in 3 performances in The Charles Mosesian Theater, a 340 seat venue at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.
