Nature Day Camp Two sessions, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm. Each day features an exciting mix of arts & crafts, woodworking, outdoor recreation, dance, and other activities. Ages 6-12. Outdoor Adventure Camp Monday through Friday, overnight. Each day is packed with adventures ranging from mountain biking and canoeing to a high ropes course and rock climbing. Ages 12-16. Canoe Expedition Camp Meet new friends, experience the challenges of NorthWoods ropes course, and learn outdoor skills in preparation for an expedition on Lake Umbagog and the Magalloway and Androscoggin Rivers. Campers will learn the basics of canoe skills while spending four days on the waters of New Hampshires Great North Woods! Ages 13 - 17. Backpacking Expedition Campers spend the first day getting to know each other as they hike a local Northeast Kingdom peak, cook over campfires, and gain outdoor recreation skills before spending the next three nights camping and hiking in the White Mountains. Ages 13 17. Conservation Service Camp NorthWoods mixes service and learning into an exciting new camp that helps young people explore their natural environment and give back to the local community. Participants will learn about natural resources while completing trail maintenance, riverbank restoration, and invasive species projects. Ages 10 14. TakePART: NorthWoods Teen Research Experience TakePART is a unique opportunity for high school students to be immersed in conservation research in Vermont. Participants will have fun while learning about conservation, natural history and field research techniques from staff and visiting ecologists. TakePART is a wonderful experience for those interested in the biology, ecology or conservation fields of study. And its a great way for teens to enjoy the summer with like-minded young people! Ages 15 18.
