Northwest Maritime Center
Summer Address:

Based in beautiful Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula in our brand new Northwest Maritime Center facility - our new program home houses 5 classrooms, large gear room with maritime safety and expedition gear, changing rooms with showers, full boat shop and our dock full of program boats ranging from rowing boats, sailboats to replica Longboats that Capt. Vancouver used to survery the Puget Sound in 1792.
Our Summer Programs run from mid-June through August with opportunities for sailing overnights on Port Townsend waters and in the San Juan Islands - sail to and explore pristine harbors and islands and spend the night under the stars. Or join one of our many maritime day programs for youth 5 and up - learn to row small boats, drive powerboats, sail big boats, visit local marine trades, play pirate or learn from local native tribespeople.
All of our programs focus on helping to create strong individuals, on and off the water. Our highly experienced instructors ensure that each student gets the attention he or she deserves, while learning important maritime skills in a fun, hands-on way. We focus on developing self-confidence, competence and pride, as well as creating a deeper appreciation for our local maritime environment
