The Marine and Environmental Science Program is an intensive three week program providing a grade 12 science credit and basic PADI Open Water scuba certification. No prior scuba experience is required. Students already scuba certified can participate in a number of specialty diving programs including underwater video photography. The biologically diverse region of study is the Juan de Fuca strait and the Race Rocks Ecological Reserve, home to Sea Lions, Harbour Seals, Orca and Gray Whales. The academic base for the course is Pearson College set on the Pacific Ocean within a spectacular old growth forest.
