Olpin Art Center, a new art school in the Chandler/Gilbert area will be offering week-long summer camps each week from May 29 to August, 2007.  Complete schedule information is available on our website.  Spring and Fall Break Camps are also available.  The camps will focus on different art media including ceramics, drawing, painting, and sculpture and be taught by an experienced art teacher.  Camps are available for students from age 5 to 17.   Prices are $90 for a week-long morning or afternoon camp, $175 for both morning and afternoon camps.  Olpin Art Center also offers evening and Saturday art classes throughout the summer.  A 10% discount on camp fees is available if fees are paid in full before May 1, 2007.

May 29-June 1

 (K-6) 8:30 am- 3:00 pm: Ceramics and Sculpture.  Artwork inspired by the art of Ancient China.

June 4-8
8:30-11:30 am: (3rd-6th) Painting people:  watercolor.
12:00-3:00 pm: (3rd-6th) Drawing still-life with pencil.
June 11-15
8:30-11:30 am: (K-6) Drawing people.
12:00-3:00 pm: (K-6) Tempera painting.  Exloring nature.
June 18-22
8:30-11:30 am: (K-6) Charcoal Sketching from life.
12:00-3:00 pm: (K-6) The Impressionsists and beyond.
June 25-29
8:30-11:30 am: (K-2) Desert plants, animals, landscape.
12:00-3:00 pm: (K-2) Yarn art.

July 9-13
8:30 am-3:00 pm: (teen camp) Personal expression in choice of mediums.  Techniques for watercolor, acrylic, ceramics and sculpture will be developed.
July 16-20
8:30-11:30 am: (K-6) Cartooning.
12:00-3:00 pm: (K-6) Castles, Knights, and Princesses.
July 23-27
8:30-11:30 am: (K-6) Paper Mache:  Ancient Egypt.
12:00-3:00 pm: (K-6) Principals of design in Abstract Art.
July 30-August 3
8:30-11:30 am: (K-6) Rockets, Space, and Beyond.
12:00-3:00 pm: (K-6) Patterns and Designs.
