DescriptionBack to top

Ever dreamed of a career in photography or photojournalism? Do you have a passion for taking pictures? Photography is art, and it is science. It blends creativity, imagination and technical savvy to produce a moment frozen in time. In competent hands, a camera can capture a memory, share an emotion, tell a story and inspire a feeling. A single picture has the power to change the world. The goal of this course is to empower you to compose, edit and produce images that reflect the amazing world around us. Panama is the ideal location for this course's unique blend of photography, adventure, education and experience. Spanish colonialism, modern skyscrapers and indigenous culture intersect at the junction of North and South America in a stunning country with surprising diversity. This trip provides the opportunity to explore and photograph an amazing variety of subject matter throughout Panama. We venture from the islands, beaches and reefs of the Caribbean coast over the continental divide past volcanoes, waterfalls and cloud forest, and then travel through banana plantations to Pacific coast beaches and rainforest. Create a dramatic portfolio filled with images that play with lighting, action and color, and capture the essence of the friends and people you meet along this unforgettable journey.
