Giant Puppet Making
Session 1: July 13th - 24th

Create animals of all walks of life during this 2-week giant puppet making session. Our talented staff of puppeteers teach campers to transform trash into treasure by using all recycled reusable materials. Campers begin by observing and interacting with insects and mammals from the Philadelphia Zoo and Bartram’s Garden. Then, campers learn to mold cardboard, make papier-mâché, paint creatures, and sculpt shapes with bamboo. All animal creations will come to life in a final parade around Clark Park.

Parade Textiles
Session 2: July 27th – 31st

During this session campers learn all the skills necessary to outfit themselves and their puppets for a parade. Be it hand stitching parade flags or sewing giant puppet costumes, your child will learn all necessary skills to not only create the characters of their imagination but to bring them to life. All animal creations will march in a final parade around Clark Park.

Camp-Wide Parade Day
July 31st

All campers and parents are invited for our final performance ~ a parade in Clark Park!
