HydroSPHERES! -- July 10-14, 2006, Designed for girls ages 8-12, HydroSPHERES! focuses on water quality and watershed investigations.  Girls will be utilizing scientific equipment indoors and along the stream that runs through campus to collect data.  The girls will be testing hypotheses they have developed pertaining to the particular water issue for the day.  Girls will be using real scientific equipment and collecting real data for an authentic environmental research experience.

 

AtmoSPHERES! -- July 17-21, 2006, Designed for girls ages 8-12, AtmoSPHERES! focuses on air quality and climate investigations.  Girls will be utilizing scientific equipment indoors and outside on campus to collect data.  The girls will be testing hypotheses they have developed pertaining to the particular atmospheric issue for the day.  Girls will be using real scientific equipment and collecting real data for an authentic environmental research experience.

Cost is $175 per one-week camp.  Fee includes a customized workbook with content-specific material and career information, a Jump/USB drive with computer files the girls can keep after the program, a pizza party on the last day, and a free SPHERES! t-shirt.  On the final afternoon, parents will be invited to view the poster displays created by the girls showcasing their research.
