Peter Howell, Hall of Fame Tennis Coach at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA returns as the director of this excellent Junior Tennis Camp for the eighth year. Parents and campers have raved about this camp, and many return year after year. Coach Howell has a long history of running tennis camps. As a player, he was ranked #5 Nationally and #1 in Georgia for many years. He has been selected Tennis Professional of the Year four times, and Senior Player of the Year twice. He has been inducted into both the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame as well as the Georgia Professional Tennis Hall of Fame

The purpose of this camp is to teach tennis in a fun environment. Each camper is placed in a group appropriate to his or her skill level. We stress solid fundamental ground strokes, volleys and serves. Match play, drills and fitness are coordinated in each daily plan. Our goal is to teach the strategy of the game as well as the basic fundamental strokes. Our staff tailors instruction to each camper’s requirements with our low student/ teacher ratio. We offer at least 30 hours of tennis instruction per session plus off-court cross training activities.

Registration will be taken up until the session is full including the weekend before the camp session if space is available.
