Summer Address:

Week 1 - "West Coast Jazz". Designed for enthusiastic musicians from ages 12-17, the PDAMCA “West Coast Jazz” is a challenging and fun week of music and food.
Week 2 - "Vocalist Week". PDAMCA is proud to bring Dee Daniels for our first ever vocalist week. Work with a top professional pianist, and later in the week a full pro rhythm section. Dee is absolutely one of the greatest singers anywhere, and her teaching is equally acclaimed.
Week 3 - "Adult Week". Join this motivated and accomplished group of musicians from all different professional and personal backgrounds. Accessible to many different levels of player this program brings the participants together with top veteran professionals for informative, entertaining, and engaging dialogue covering a variety of topics, and offers opportunities for reading, ear training, listening, history, and performance.
Week 4 - "String Workshop". Students will spend a week working with a quartet of top professionals-under the leadership of McGill University violin professor Mark Fewer-discussing repertoire, interpretation, career development, and opportunities for working outside of the traditional “classical music” environment.
Week 5 - "East Coast Jazz". This is a great opportunity to those students 16 years and up who really want to ʻkick it up a notchʼ. Under the guidance professional performers, recording artists, and educators you will be encouraged to really expand your horizons with regard to harmony, transcription, historical depth,music business, group interaction, and also have a chance to collaborate with participants in the string program.
