PAN is an outreach program at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL)—one of the world's leading nuclear physics laboratories—located on the campus of Michigan State University. It is run by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics (JINA), NSCL faculty and staff.
The PAN experience:
- Learn about research in one of the top rare-isotope laboratories in the world.
- Get introduced to the fascination of astrophysics, cosmology, and nuclear science.
- Perform your own nuclear physics experiments.
- Experience the atmosphere of one of the biggest university campuses in the country.
- Teachers can earn 5 SB-CEUs for participation in PAN.
