Pleasant Valley has provided a friendly, positive, and supportive atmosphere.  At the core of Pleasant Valley's rich tradition is the group living experience, offering an atmosphere of cooperation while stressing the worth of each individual. Girls have the opportunity to learn new skills, challenge themselves with different activities, forge bonds of friendship and develop lifelong interests.  Every girl participates in a well-rounded experience that consists of a broad range of activities.  Each session, campers select four activities to create their own schedule.

Programs at PVC

(CIT) Program: Thinking of becoming a camp counselor? Do you attract people with your natural leadership ability and have a great sense of humor? Teens interested in developing their counseling and activity skills are welcome to apply for this first year staff position.

Lifeguard Training Program: This is a 4 week course that can be taken either sessions 1&2, or 3&4.  This program provides campers a great opportunity to acquire a life long skill.   In addition, to lifeguard training campers will participate in two other daily activities of their choice and all other regular camp activities.

Laughing Loon Day Camp: Catering to our Central Lakes Region community and visitors to the area, boys and girls aged 6 to 12 participate in camp activities such as archery, canoeing, high and low ropes courses, hiking, swimming, and much more. Campers bring their own lunch, and receive an afternoon snack.

Family Camp: Available just one week per summer, Family Camp at North Woods & Pleasant Valley offers an opportunity to leave all the stresses of home behind and enjoy the company of other families in a beautiful woodland setting. Accommodations are rustic, fully screened, wood framed camper cabins nestled among the tall pines along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.
