Quest International Language Camp - there's no better place to study English!

Quest International Language Camp, ideally located in the town of Squamish in British Columbia, one of the most spectacular and pristine natural settings in the world, combines the best features of an outdoor language camp with exciting city exploration. Campers take advantage of the new and modern university facilities for sports and other pursuits, while excursions into both Vancouver and Whistler showcase the best west coast Canada features. Come, take part in this high quality language programme in a spectacular mountain setting!

Facilities: Our campers live divided by age and gender in condo-style residence-rooms, each with two bedrooms. As four students share one suite, two students are accommodated per room. Camp staff also stays on the same residence floor, ensuring that an adult is available at all times. Each suite contains living space, kitchenettes and study space as well as two full ensuite bathrooms. Meals are served in the school dining hall with a choice of meal options including an open salad bar.

Our students are never bored. They receive three 1-hour activity periods three afternoons weekly and can select their activities from a variety of sports, water and land activites as well as specialty programming and excursions at the beginning of each week. All activities are instructed and supervised by dedicated camp staff.

Field & Court Sports: Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Mountain Biking, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Yoga

Scheduled Activities: Dance, Geo-Caching (GPS), Guitar (introductory)

Scheduled Excursions: 1 full day excursion, 1 half day excursion and Nature Sundays are included in the programme. Full day excursions include a Vancouver city tour & Kitsilano Beach, a Whistler Village tour with Peak Gondola & Beach as well as a trip to Capilano Suspension Bridge & Tree Top Adventures and to Grouse Mountain & Shopping at Metropolis. Half day excursions include visits to local places of interest such as BC Museum of Mining & BBQ at Shannon Falls, Granville Island (Vancouver), Lil'wat Cultural Centre (Whistler), Vancouver Aquarium & Standley Park and Whistler Village tour with Peak Gondola. Each Sunday, students have the opportunity to travel as a group off campus to enjoy some of the natural beauty inherent to Canada's west coast, e.g. by hiking up the various mountain paths or enjoying a swim in a pristine lake. Transportation and admission fees to attractions are included.

Optional Activities: In addition to the included excursions, students may choose to participate in optional activities off campus at additional costs. Optional activities may include: Canoeing/Paddling, Local festivals, Movie nights, River Jet Boating, River Rafting, Rock Climbing and Swimming. Specific activities offered are dependent upon session dates and duration. All activities are fully supervised by camp staff and include transportation and admission costs.

Language Instruction: Summer school need not be boring. The educational language programme at Quest International Language Camp is challenging yet fun and exciting. ESL is available for international students as well as Canadian students whose first language is not English. 15 hours of ESL lessons per week are taught by qualified instructors in small classes with maximum 15 students. Placement testing upon arrival on the first full day of programme ensures that students are in the most-appropriate language level.

Our Staff: The high quality of our language, sports and activites programme is further augmented by our staff of sensitive, dedicated and professional instructors and counselors. They truly care about each student and ensure that students receive the attention and care needed to make their stay great.
