Skills Development Camp (formerly Varsity Camp)

The Randy Edsall Football Camp will be offering 2 sessions of Skills Development Camp formally known as the Varsity Camp. This camp is a four-day, three-night camp designed for young men entering grades 9-12. During the four day period, campers will benefit from both individual and team instruction, specialist and video teaching, and learn how to improve strength and speed. Campers will learn how to properly use the weight room as well as the track. Every aspect of the game of football will be addressed.  And every player will train in state-of-the-art facilities at The University of COnnecticut, including the new Mark Shenkman Training Center – one of the top five training facilities in all of college football.

The Randy Edsall Football Camp is both demanding and fun. The players that attend will get expert attention in their specialized areas and improve as individual athletes and as members of their teams. These four day camps also include full contact giving you the ultimate football learning experience.

Players can sign up as resident or commuter campers.  Resident Campers will stay in dorms on the University of Connecticut Campus. 

Skills Challenge Camp

The one day Skills Challenge Camp is designed to evaluate your game and help you understand where you need to improve.  Coach Edsall and his staff will put your talents and abilities to the test. There is little to no instruction in these single day sessions. They are designed to test your abilities to let you see where you stand in comparison to other boys your age.

All football activities will be held at the Universityof Connecticut in Storrs, CT. The Randy Edsall Football Camp has exclusive use of Connecticut’s three, full-length grass practice fields. The two hilltop fields recently received a $900,000 renovation and feature new lighting, sod, fencing, and expanded space. In addition, the camps will utilize the 85,000 square foot Mark R. Shenkman Training Center. Featuring a 120-yard long state-of-the-art FieldTurf playing surface, a 18,000 square foot strength and conditioning area, and state-of-the-art video capabilities, the indoor training center features technologically advanced training equipment and is considered to be one of the top-five training facilities in college football.
