Ransom Everglades Day Camp
Summer Address:

Open to children entering grades Pre-K through 7th (ages 4 to 12), Ransom Everglades Day Camp is organized to give each camper opportunities for individual growth, for learning new skills, for making friends, for developing teamwork, and for most of all, having fun. Our staff prepares for the summer with an orientation program aimed at creating a safe and dynamic environment in which each camper will get the most out of his/her experience with us. A senior and junior counselor are assigned to each group. Swimming instructors are American Red Cross Certified, and are trained to teach swimmers of all levels. The program includes water safety, recreational swimming, and water-based games in our aquatic center. Ransom Everglades School, located on beautiful Biscayne Bay has its own waterfront facility, fully outfitted for sailing and canoeing. Campers enjoy learning about boating safety, seafaring rules, and terminology while cruising the bay aboard our fleet. As part of the sailing experience, children enjoy sandbar swims, exploring different islands, and tubing. Campers wear lifejackets at all times, and are supervised by counselors in the boats, and have a chase boat at their side whenever we leave the dock. Groups are separated by grade level and gender (except Pre-K and Kindergarten). Close supervision, small group size, and the fun and learning shared by counselors and campers make Ransom Everglades Day Camp an experience your child will remember for years to come.
