Rising Star is a musical theatre program based in the San Fernando Valley.  We offer several Summer Camps for children ages 5 – 18.  We pride ourselves in creating a nurturing, compassionate environment for children that is a wonderful learning experience.

Our Summer Campers will spend their day learning music, dances and the 7 – 14 age group will do a complete production with costumes at the end of their 3 week camp.  The 5 – 7 age group will learn songs and dances from popular musicals including costumes and will perform on the last day of their Camp for parents & friends.  As time permits campers will have art & yoga during their day.

The teen camp is for those who have had experience on stage and are willing to work a little harder.  This program will be cast by audition only.  If not cast, they may opt to join one of our other camps (if they are 14 or under).  This program is a dues paying acting troupe and as such dues are paid at the beginning of the month during production months.

Rising Star services many areas within the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles, including; Studio City, North Hollywood, Toluca Lake, Toluca Woods, Universal City, Van Nuys, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Reseda, Sunland, Pacoima, Beverly Hills, Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood, La Canada, La Crescenta, Pasadena, West Hills, Northridge, North Hills, Agoura, Valley Village, Valley Glen, Tarzana, Winnetka, Lake Balboa, Canoga Park, Panorama City, Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, and we have even had campers from Riverside, Rosemeade, Oxnard, and Ventura!

Our camp rehearsal space is a safe, quiet church in the heart of Studio City (Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio City) with plenty of parking space.

Rising Star is expanding to offer a more sophisticated program for our teen performers. This is an acting troupe, and with each production members will pay dues of $100 on the first of each month.  Auditions will be our tool for casting each role.  If you are not cast you may look at the option of one of our other Summer Camps.  This production will be run in a professional manner so that our fabulous teen performers can begin to transition into a professional environment.
