Nurturing, challenging, diverse in activity and community, Robin Hood encourages independence through daily freedom of choice in a traditional yet forward thinking camp environment. Our unique location, directly bordering a three-mile lake and the coastal seawaters of Maine’s Penobscot Bay, allows us to offer over 35 activities daily and optional trips and excursion opportunities. While our vibrant waterfront is highly regarded, we also take pride in the quality and variety of our land sports and activities. Offering 3-7 week sessions for boys and girls, ages 7-17, families from around the world have entrusted their children to the Littlefield family. We pride ourselves in finding staffers one might expect to find only at specialty camps and annually attract world class, champion water skiers, wake boarders, sailors, martial artists, equestrians, and soccer and tennis coaches, among others. Finally, the greatest part of Robin Hood is the quality of campers themselves.
Regular Camper Program, Ages 7-14:
Robin Hood offers 3-7 week session lengths for campers age 7-14. We insist upon strong teacher recommendations and a personal interview with a director. By surrounding children with positive, enthusiastic peers, they have a far greater chance for successful integration and a positive growth experience during their stay with us.
Teen Programs. Ages 15-18:
Our specialty teen programs begin at age 15. Our Campers In Transition (CIT) program for 15 year olds, Teen Adventure Program & Service (TAPS) and Super Camper (SC) programs for 16-18 year-olds, each offer additional activity choices, privileges, responsibilities and age-appropriate social outings. Our Junior Counselor (JC) invitation-only program is an intensive counselor training and work program for those individuals that would like to become an effective and knowledgeable staffer upon graduation. College SAT Preparatory Class and a three-day Northeast College Tour are offered for our teen participants.
