At Round Lake Camp we believe that every camper deserves friends, fun, and laughter in an accepting environment. Our Camp family recognizes our campers for their strengths and not their challenges. This encouraging environment is role modeled by our staff and happily accepted by our children. For the first time in their lives, our campers belong and can make lasting friendships. Our program of therapeutic recreation is designed so that every activity – recreational, social and educational – is planned to meet the capabilities of each child. Through easy to measure goals our campers can evaluate their progress. This works with a camper's self-esteem and allows our children to feel as though they soar among the stars, while gaining skills in recreational activities.
Our camp is structured so that each camper receives guidance in the widest possible variety of recreational skills, and social opportunities. Our program is also flexible enough to allow for individual interests and needs, supportive services and social skills training. At Round Lake Camp having a successful summer and being able to carry that into the school year is our main goal.
