Savannah, Georgia, United StatesThe Savannah College of Art and Design is located in the heart of the city's renowned National Historic Landmark District, a vibrant community of art, architecture and culture that attracts visitors from all over the world. This unique urban campus includes classrooms, studios, computer labs, darkrooms, galleries, libraries, theaters, residence halls, dining facilities and fitness centers. Adaptive reuse of many remarkable structures has helped preserve an important part of Savannah while providing the college with facilities that serve as a living laboratory for the study of the arts.
SCAD Summer Seminars students participate in two different workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each workshop meets two and one-half hours each day for five days. Student work from all workshops is displayed at a closing exhibition. Workshops may include demonstrations, lectures, studio work and local field trips. Students have access to the college's extensive facilities, resources and libraries. Supplies are provided.

SCAD Summer Seminars students have free time daily from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. All activities are concluded by 11 p.m; students must remain in the residence hall after that time. In the afternoon, students have lunch and are encouraged to participate in planned activities that may include cultural outings, shopping and social events. In the evening, students participate in pre-planned supervised activities both inside and outside the residence hall.
Applicants should demonstrate academic strength and social maturity as well as a desire to succeed in the arts.

Residential cost-$1,100
The residential program fee includes tuition for two five-day
workshops, six nights housing, 17 meals, social events and workshop supplies.
Nonresidential cost-$900
The nonresidential program fee includes tuition for two five-day workshops, lunch Monday through Friday, social events and workshop supplies.
