SF SPCA 2011 Summer Animal Camp

The San Francisco SPCA will offer one-week camp sessions for kids interested in learning more about animals and the animal welfare community. Our camps promote kindness and compassion for all creatures. They offer enriching activities and experiential learning to foster children’s love and understanding of animals. Sessions are for children entering grades 1-8 and run Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Animal Friends Camp is recommended for new and returning Summer Animal Camp students. Animal Friends Camp celebrates our relationship with animals, with a focus on how we can make animals feel safe and comfortable. Students have hands-on learning opportunities and will work with homeless animals, baby animals, and animals in our community.
Animal Heroes Camp is for previous SF SPCA Summer Animal Campers who wish to build on their training skills and increase their knowledge of animal welfare. Students have extended hands-on opportunities clicker training animals, in-depth discussions with animal welfare professionals and collaborative activities designed to promote the next generation of animal advocates.
