We offer two adventure opportunities which provide many of our students’ favorite activities set in some of the most scenic sections of the California Coast - Santa Barbara, Big Sur, the Channel Islands, Tahoe area, and Yosemite NP.
Students choose from a plethora of adventure options including: surfing, swimming, mountain biking, rock climbing, sea kayaking, snorkeling, horseback riding, and viewing seals and sea lions in their native habitat. SOAR strongly believes that all individuals identified with LD or AD/HD possess inherent talents and gifts that can mean incredible success in adulthood, despite the obstacles of childhood, adolescence, and a traditional education system that is usually unable to respond to these students' special needs.
