SOAR Peru has two incredible geographic features, the Amazon Rainforest and the Andean Mountains, and this course explores both!  We begin by flying into Lima to explore the museums and cathedrals that testify to its storied past.  Then it is a short flight to Puerto Maldonado and a boat ride up the Tambopata River to the headwaters of the Amazon.  After the Amazon adventure, it is a short flight to Cuzco, once the center of Incan civilization.  Highlights of our Andean exploration include the train ride and hike on the Incan Trail to Machu Picchu, the market at Pisac, and survey of Incan sites around Cuzco by horseback. 

SOAR strongly believes that all individuals identified with LD or AD/HD possess inherent talents and gifts that can mean incredible success in adulthood, despite the obstacles of childhood, adolescence, and a traditional education system that is usually unable to respond to these students' special needs.
