SUNY Equestrian Center Camp
Summer Address:

Each camper will begin at their own level of riding and advance according to their own ability so whether your child has never been on a horse before, is a novice, intermediate or advanced rider, the instruction given will be appropriately designed to challenge and improve their riding skills.
But more than just riding skills, we teach horsemanship. Campers are taught the challenges and responsibilities of taking proper care of horses. Under close supervision, campers are involved in the total care of the horses they ride including the daily feeding, brushing, saddling, bathing, and mucking of stalls. Riding lessons by qualified riding instructors are conducted in small groups daily. Lectures on key topics of horse care and riding theory are also offered throughout the week.
Taking advantage of the many facilities of the campus, we balance our camp experience with numerous alternative activities including swimming, arts & crafts and games. Lunch, which is included in the camp fee, is served in one of the campus' dining halls. Each week is capped off by all campers showing off their riding skills at a Friday afternoon show for parents, relatives and friends.
