Sailwood Adventures offers awesome wilderness camps for youths ages 11-19; located near Homer, Alaska. Alaska is "Kickin" it" country; home to Valdez Extreme skiing and snowboarding competitions, Hatcher Pass, Alyeska, Girdwood, Copper River, Denali and many more premiere outdoor adventure destinations. Our camping programs are designed to bring young people together to experience the outdoors in an enjoyable atmosphere. We'll camp and travel by foot, sea kayak, and mountain bike throughout some of Alaska's most beautiful parks. No previous experience is required, just an open mind and the willingness to explore with kids your own age. Basic physical fitness will definitely make your experience more enjoyable. All of our camps include the instruction and training you'll need to develop the skills for responsible backcountry adventure. Each session begins with a ocean kayak safety and rescue training seminar in the local swimming pool. Once this is completed we head off into some amazing country for the trip of a life time!!! The memories of Kachemak Bay will linger long after the experiences are over and the camping gear is put away for the season. We hope to hear from you, Marcee and Willie
