Students will spend two full weeks working in a hands-on atmosphere learning performance techniques and the art of being in a rock band. Workshops will include group lessons on an instrument of their choice (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals), music theory instruction, rehearsal technique, performance practice, songwriting fundamentals, sound engineering basics, and multi-track recording, in addition to plenty of group band rehearsals.

Starting on day 1, students will collaboratively write and perform an original rock song. The School of Rock's industry-established and professional music staff will teach students how to track and record their creations in a real recording studio. Students will perform an all-ages performance on the last day of the program.

Bootcamp 2009 will be held Monday through Friday from 9:30am-3:30pm
