Introduction to Fashion Design

Ever wonder what it takes to be a fashion designer? In this course, your challenge will be to design a skirt from conception through completion. We will provide a basic pattern from which to start. You will then design, choose fabric, sew and complete the skirt by the end of the program.

Prerequisite: Basic sewing skills

Decorate your jeans, t-shirts and tank-tops

Got any jeans, t-shirts or tank-tops that need to be bedazzled? Bring them in and we will show you how to embellish them to make your own design statement. You will get a chance to transform a simple item into a work of art. Trims, beads and decorations are provided in class. Don’t miss this opportunity to really put your creativity to work!

Let’s be honest! A beautiful handbag is essential to every stylish girl’s wardrobe. An outfit is not complete without one. In this course, with our patterns, you will have the opportunity to put your design ideas into your own bag. We will show you how to make your creation one of a kind.
