Shady Side Academy Summer Programs
Summer Address:

Shady Side Academy's summer programs give you the option of planning a remarkable summer for your children. We all know that summer schedules can become packed pretty quickly with vacation, family fun and trips to the pool. Plus, with the vast array of programming that is offered in the Pittsburgh area, it can become a burdensome task to plan a great summer.
Shady Side Academy's summer programs are incredibly flexible, providing an endless array of possibilities for all kids. Before you start planning, here are some suggestions to make sure that your kids have the best summer ever!
- A little bit of this, a little bit of that: Has your child expressed an interest in field hockey, but never felt bold enough to try out for the team? Have they dreamed of designing a cool video game, but had no clue where to start? Use this summer as an opportunity to try different things – perhaps something they will love! The SSA one-week mini-camps provide the opportunity to try something new or expand on their natural talents.
- Pursue interests: Shady Side Academy has fantastic programming for the burgeoning artist, scientist, musician or athlete. The summer is the perfect time to gain maximum hands-on experiences in a comfortable and stress-free environment. There is no better place for your children to discover what they want to be when they grow up!
- Learn and grow: Challenge your children in our newest program, Camp Ren, designed specifically for grades 6-8. Camp Ren's programs will engage their artistic, scientific or athletic side. Or, what about rolling into something new? The teen bike journey takes campers to Washington, D.C., on the Great Allegheny Passage Trail.
- Just have fun: After school is out, it's time to relax, kick back and have some fun. In our weekly Discovery Day Camp, children can weave traditional camp activities, like swimming and playing games, with something new, like media arts and drama. Or, before heading back to school, let your kids rock out and create their own band with the assistance of rock stars, as SSA welcomes Camp Jam.
