DescriptionBack to top

Two- and three-week summer acting intensives taught by The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's education staff and resident artists. Each session is varied, fast-paced, and exciting.
Areas of study include: stage combat, voice, movement, audition technique, and Shakespeare scenes/monologues. The program culminates in an ensemble performance of Shakespeare or another classic text on the final Saturday of each session.
Members of both Corps are considered company members of The Shakespeare Theatre, joining a vibrant artistic community that shares an unwavering commitment to excellence. Many Corps members choose to continue beyond the summer as some of the Theatre’s most dedicated volunteers. Many have also returned in subsequent years to appear on the Main Stage and to participate in our college-level professional training program. These “alums” are visible proof of the Theatre’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of theatre artists.
