DescriptionBack to top

Shakespeare is Boffo! is a full day camp designed to encourage active children to study Shakespeare and theatre arts in general. Each session deals with one play and one or two fight scenes from that play. Each child is given (or makes - depending on the length of the course) a soft boffer weapon. Through active games and fun, the children learn simple fight choreography, a lot about Shakespeare and the play in question, a lot about history. They block the scene or scenes and their performances are videotaped for the parents.
Also, Shakespeare is Boffo! includes a significant outdoor component (parks, swimming pools and beaches in the summer; parks and toboganning in the winter) because we believe that active kids are healthy kids.
