Slumber Falls Camp
Summer Address:

Slumber Falls is a Christian summer camp, offering ecumenical programs for all ages. It is our goal to touch the lives of children with the love of God for all creation. Our mission calls us to be inclusive of all. No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!
Camps are typically a week long and have approximately 40-60 campers. We intentionally keep our numbers low to provide each child with the opportunity for lots of individual care and attention. Over the years, Slumber Falls Camp has been known for creating lasting friendships. With our small cabin groups, team building, and spiritual enrichment, it is easy for campers and counselors to form those lasting relationships that model our relationship with God.
Activities include group games, team building exercises, engagement with scripture, singing, skits, swimming, hiking, volleyball, basketball, star gazing, campfires, talent shows, nature exploration, river wading and so much more.
Each week our campers make the journey to a residential senior citizen’s facility in nearby New Braunfels. They sing for the residents and then have the opportunity to model God’s love as they visit and help with a social activity. We remind our campers that a full Christian experience involves focusing our vision beyond ourselves just as Jesus reached out to the crowds to share God’s incredible love.
Looking at issues of peace and justice is another important component of our program. During the week of camp, we discuss the need for peace in our world. Jesus came among us as the Prince of Peace and he calls us to a ministry of peacemaking. Another important component of our program is our care for creation. Slumber Falls Camp is environmentally aware and each week we educate our campers about the importance of being good stewards of God’s world.
Spiritual nurture is a hunger among our youth. Each night at Vesper Point, overlooking the river below, the entire camp family comes together for worship. We share our joys and our concerns with each other in a community of love and acceptance. This moving experience has given many campers direction and purpose for the journey ahead.
We look forward to being able to serve the children and youth who pass through our cabins, touching one life at a time. Why don’t you join us this summer?
