Community Service:

Earn 30 hours of Community service credit working at 3 different township schools outside East London helping build new playgrounds and improve existing classrooms.

What you Do:

Game drives and safari walks through Kruger national park, learn about what is being done to protect endangered species, take surfing lessons, ride horses through the mountains, bike between traditional villages, African cooking & dancing lessons,

Enjoy a guided tour of the famous Apartheid museum, sample some local South African

Fare, shop at amazing local markets.

  

What You Learn:

A bit of Afrikans, the history of South Africa from the past of Apartheid to the present, how to cook African food, how to track wild animals in the wild, how to surf, where the evolutionary roots of man can be traced from, what does it mean to be South African and what the country is doing as a whole to move beyond its past.
