You assemble the trip of a lifetime according to your own priorities with our cool counselors.
WHAT YOU SEE:
Incredible beaches, two similar yet very different countries, cathedrals, great art and architecture, medieval streets, a royal palace, remote and spectacular mountain scenery, an ancient fort, magnificent sunsets over the ocean, cutting edge fashion, the most important pilgrimage site in the world, an exclusive region of Spain all but unknown by Americans.
WHAT YOU DO:
Practice Spanish, take a graffiti tour, shop till you drop, dance the night away, prepare dinner from the food you pick, crouch in a bodega (cave) once used by the Resistance, learn Spanish history, hike some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe, swim, fish, ride Spanish horses, prowl ancient streets late into the night, play volleyball on the beach, study architecture, have Spanish coffee in a café, eat tapas, walk on the beach, take a boat ride, absorb Portuguese culture, learn some Portuguese.
WHAT YOU LEARN:
Spanish language and regional nuances, how two countries so close can be so different, the Celtic roots of Galicia, daily life in a pure region of Spain, contemporary art history, three unique cultures, Spanish history, Spanish art/music/dance/architecture/customs.
Educational and fun learning by living as a native. We travel not merely to see, but to do and to experience… not in a herd, but through choices.
