DescriptionBack to top

Spring Haven Stables Summer Horse Camp is designed to help your young rider develop their horsemanship skills.  For riders new to this sport this is a wonderful introduction.  For our more advanced riders this camp is a chance to develop their skills.

Our camps are held Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.  Each session is $350 with discounts given to those with siblings or who sign up for multiple sessions.  A non-refundable deposit of $50 per week per child is required to secure a place.  This deposit is applied to the balance at the time of camp.  We limit each of our camps to 12 students.  Space is limited and fills quickly.

SHS lead instructor, Lori Crihfield, is ARIA certified and has over 20 years of riding experience.  Prior to owning SHS Lori taught the equestrian physical education program for UNC.

SHS has quality school horses.  Our horses are all ex show horses who are both fun and safe to learn on.  They know what they are teaching and love to do it.

Our camp has a fun family atmosphere.  In the afternoons we spend time playing in the pool and doing arts and crafts.  We also allow time for demonstrations and fun educational activities.

SHS is located just outside Chapel Hill, NC on ten acres of land.  Our camp has a rural feel to it without having to drive to get it.  We are conveniently located off highway 40 within minutes of Chapel Hill, Hillsborough or Durham
