DescriptionBack to top

If you want a program that genuinely connects kids and horses, then Sprucelands is the camp for you. Sprucelands is a skills-oriented English riding camp for boys and girls ages 6-17 that focuses on safety while expanding rider confidence. Sprucelands is a meaningful summer experience where riders have the opportunity to fully connect with a horse through horse care and riding: dressage, jumping, drill team, and trails. Open to Horsemasters and Accelerated Horsemasters alike, riders apply their mounted skills in a combined training approach. Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced riders welcome. Horsemasters ride one hour daily; Accelerated Horsemasters ride two hours each day six days a week. If you have a rider who has never ridden before, they will love the supportive intro to skills and horsemanship they receive at Sprucelands.         Sprucelands is a non-sectarian camp with a caring family atmosphere. Friendships and fun engage campers in a daily interactive program with options for creative crafts, sports, hiking, boating, kayaking, all camp evening programs, a camp library, and a camp newsletter. Independent living skills, community service, and a variety of leadership opportunities stimulate camper growth. A Counselor in Training (CIT) program, Working Camper (WC) program are open to older campers. Early Bird Discounts are found on the camp website between September and December.     Sprucelands makes a difference to her campers, building memories and friend connections to last a lifetime. Please note: Sprucelands likes to include parents. The camp blog shares daily camp activities through photos and entertaining commentary so all parents feel immersed in the actual camp experience with their children.
