Summer Lab
Summer Address:

Summer School Director Cecilia Mullon is a veteran teacher not only of many Summer Schools past, but also of many years at the Laboratory Schools in their 'regular season'. She has marshaled resources from within and without the Laboratory Schools to present a truly excellent array of opportunities for the academically inclined. And of course, nobody forgets it's summertime, so academic 'rigor' is tempered with much summer fun and exploration. Adventure Kids Day Camp celebrates its seventh anniversary under the watchful and adventurous eye of Director Meghan Janda. Her philosophy of adventure education supports the core values of cooperation, trust, and teambuilding. These values drive the adventures for Adventure Kids. Summer Lab on Stage enters its fifth season under the high-energy direction of Lab School musicians and teachers Katy Sinclair and Marc Piane. The six-week course will culminate in live, on-stage performances at the University of Chicago's Court Theatre. Art direction and construction resources are joining the staff this year as this collaborative musical extravaganza again reaches blockbuster proportions. Director Debbie Ribbens continues to add exciting new offerings to Summer Lab Sports Camps. This summer is no exception: Children entering Nursery - 1st grade may choose Fit, Fun and Games, Golf, Soccer, Baseball, Dance, or Gymnastics, while Grades 2 - 8 have several additional choices for this 3 - 5:30 pm time of day. Please know that children must be toilet trained prior to coming to Summer Lab.
