SuperTennis
Summer Address:
Teaneck, New Jersey, United StatesSuperTennis is a great way to learn the game of tennis, or improve upon what you already know, and have fun with a sport for a lifetime.
Beginners get an introduction to all facets of the game, from groundstrokes, serve, volleys, to playing. More advanced players will improve their technique and maximize skills they already have. Time will be devoted to the finer points of the game (i.e. hitting with spins, serving and volleying, doubles technique, approach shots, passing shots, second serve, strategy and mental toughness).
There is a special age appropriate program for 5-7 year olds that, through instruction and fun games, teaches the strokes and improves coordination in a fun, caring, non-pressured environment.
The camp, in it's 14th year, is directed by Ira Miller, the men's and women's tennis coach at Fairleigh Dickinson. Coach Miller has won 13 conference championships and 12 conference coach of the year awards. He has coached U.S. national teams abroad and brings to SuperTennis the rare combination of extensive summer camping and tennis experience, which provides for comprehensive learning, a safe and caring environment, and a fun summer for all.
