This summer, well take your aspiring young chef on a culinary journey to faraway places and share the exotic flavors of an assortment of traditions. Well travel the world making authentic dishes from Mexico, France, Asia, and Italy as teens sharpen their cooking skills and master the fundamentals of cooking.
For five fun-filled days, our experienced chef instructors will walk teens through kitchen fundamentals like basic knife skills, how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, monitoring cooking temperatures and timeand perhaps most importantlykitchen safety. Then, well teach them a number of cooking methods, like sauting, baking, rolling sushi, making fresh pasta dough and crepes, and much more as they prepare globally-inspired snacks, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts.
On the last day of class we divide students into teams and host a cooking competition to show off what students have learned. Parents are encouraged to join us at the end of class that day and watch us crown the winning team.
