Tamwood International Camps
Located in three of Canada's most exciting destinations: Whistler, Vancouver and London; Tamwood summer camps will quickly be your child's favourite!
Camp programs for juniors, ages 7-12 and for teens, ages 13-17 in all locations are offered. The unique international mix of its campers helps to provide an opportunity few other camps can offer like learning about foreign peoples and cultures and to meet and make friends with young people from all around the world!
Tamwood offers the following camp programs:
English Camp – in Whistler, Vancouver and London -ages 7-17
Teen Adventure Camp – in Whistler – ages 13-17
Tennis Camp- in Whistler – ages 12-17
Whistler, host venue for the 2010 winter Olympics, is a great place to spend the summer vacation. With access by gondola to high alpine areas, four fresh water lakes, over 25 kilometers of paved bicycle and numerous nature hikes and mountain bike trails Whistler will surely have an adventure in store!
Tamwood's Teen Adventure Camp in Whistler is for campers ages 13-17 who want to experience a challenging and exciting summer. Campers learn downhill and cross-country mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, wilderness camping, and leadership from world class specialists. There are two exciting three day trips in the Whistler back country.
In Vancouver, the camp runs on the beautiful campus of Simon Fraser University. All campers take 15 hours per week of English classes combined with sports lessons, adventure and cultural activities and sightseeing excursions for an excellent balance of education and adventure!
London, Ontario. Tamwood runs its camp in London on the campus of Huron University (part of U.W.O.). Juniors and Teens are separated into different camps and enjoy a combination of English classes, sports, adventure and cultural activities and sightseeing excursions. In certain weeks teen campers can choose to specialize in tennis or horseback riding and attend classes in that activity for 3 hours per day, 4 days per week. Tennis and horseback riding are taught by professional coaches.
