Teen Philanthropy Summer Camp
July 25-29, 2010

Give your teen the opportunity to learn about philanthropy & giving back this summer!
The teens will do daily service projects and go through an actual grant round to choose an organization they have served at to receive their grant.
In addition, they’ll learn about what nonprofit organizations are, how to think about giving money effectively, and how they can make a difference in their communities.
This is the first time that SV2 (Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund) has offered its renowned Teen Philanthropy program to the general public.

When?
July 26-30, 9:00am - 2:00pm daily

Graduation Ceremony & Family Dinner
Friday, July 30 at 6pm

Where?
The teens will meet at different nonprofit organizations each day.
All sites will be located between Mountain View and Redwood City.
Exact list TBA in June.

Who?
Incoming 7th through 10th graders

Cost?
Camp tuition $400,
plus a $200 tax-deductable donation (to fund the grant the teens will make)
