The Leadership Experience at Villanova University, a one-week summer experience at Villanova University, promises to be an exciting and rewarding time.  Learning to Lead, a non-profit organization dedicated to leadership development, runs this challenging and fun week focused on one of the most important topics today…leadership.  The co-ed experience takes place on the beautiful  campus of Villanova University (in suburban Philadelphia) and is offered to all student entering 9th-12th grade with a special "Girls Take Charge" leadership track for girls entering 8th grade.  This elite week is only offered the week of July 13th - July 18th, 2008 and is certainly the week not to miss!.

This program has attracted students from accross the US and internationally.  On-campus housing on Villanova's campus give participants a "true taste" of college life.  This experience includes moving between cutting-edge technology facilities to on-campus dining and many other activities. 

 

Have fun while learning how to be a better leader!  Self discovery, developing a personal leadership style, goal setting, learning how to make your mark, creating a positive difference in a community are all topics that are highlighted throughout the week in engaging workshops. 

 

The impacts of the camp are too numerous to mention, but a comprehensive agenda includes keynote speakers, a team challenge ropes course, service learning experience, and skill building sessions.  These interactive skill sessions will focus on critical leadership topics such as Negotiation, Motivation, and Decision Making and Ethics. The culmination of the week is a leadership capstone where students will have the opportunity to immediately put their new found skills to work.  Throughout the week, students develop a leadership portfolio they can take with them and continue to add to…a great addition for college applications or to take back to your school!

 

A college prep experience, the ability to enhance and develop leadership skills, interaction with students from accross the country and internationally, and an opportunity to learn from the best are highlights of this world-class program.  This exciting week applies to all students whether just beginning to develop leadership skills or already have some leadership experience.   This is a week you cannot afford to miss!

 

Many summer programs offer eadership as a component of their program.  The Leadership Experience is one of the few programs in the country that focuses solely on leadership and is unparalleled in its staff's experience and eduation.  The professional staff has a combined over five decades of leadership experience including positions in government, Fortune 300 corporations, athletics, education and non-profit organizations.  All activities and workshops are designed, created and taught by the professional staff.

The Leadership Experience will be offered the week of July 13-18th, 2008 at Villanova University and enrollment is limited. The program can be enjoyed as a residential or day program.  Participants in the program are part of one of four tracks to allow for maximum interaction, self growth and fun!  Track III is for rising eleventh and twelth graders , Track II is for rising sophomores, and Track I is for rising ninth grade.  The "Girls Take Charge" track, the only single gender track, is for rising 8th grade girls.  The investment for this experience is $600 (Day) or $925 (Residential) and includes all session costs, daily meals at Villanova University's cafes as well as material fees and Villanova's Challenge Ropes Course.  For residential students, the fee also includes double-occupency accomodation in Villanova's residence halls.
