The Second City Training Centre - Toronto
March Break Camp 2010:
(Monday to Friday). This weeklong improvisation workshop is an ideal way for kids age 10 to 16 to spend part of their break. Through active, fun improv exercises, students develop listening and communication skills, build on teamwork, and reward each other with a good dose of hearty laughter – all within our creative and safe studio environment. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a lunch.
Summer Camps 2010-
One Week or Two Week Improvisation and Sketch Comedy writing sessions (Monday thru Friday) throughout the summer. Spend part of your summer at The Second City where you can work out your creative muscles in our improvisation camps for ages 10 to 17. The Second City has launched the careers of countless actors, writers, directors and producers, and has influenced American comedy like no other theatre. Our summer programs attract students from all over the country and abroad. Learn new skills, meet new friends and enjoy Toronto in the summer. Students will also tour the new Second City Theatre and have a performance in The John Candy Box Theatre.
Improvisation training helps build skills such as listening, team building, communications, self-confidence, problem-solving and empathy.
Camps are held at The Second City Training Centres in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Toronto. Programs and schedules vary by location.
