The Wilderness Christian Camp
Summer Address:
Campers enjoy canoeing, hiking, sleeping some nights under the stars, outdoor cooking, rock climbing, and much more, all while learning a host of new and exciting skills such as fire building, shelter building, cooking on an open fire, navigation, teamwork, and leadership, while strengthening and developing character and a close walk with Christ.
| While at The Wilderness, campers divide into teams which compete all week in a variety of fun and adventurous games and challenges designed to strengthen and develop each camper into the most effective Christian possible. The competition inspires team work and leadership skills that will last far beyond a week at camp. Everything we do is designed to point the camper to a strong and healthy relationship with Jesus. We believe that now, more then ever, we need young people who will stand up and lead for Christ. |

Staff Training - June 11-14
Junior Survival Camp - June 15-17
An action packed, three day, introduction to survival in the remote Appalachian forests. This week is for Boys and Girls entering the 2nd - 6th grades. The total cost is $49.00.
Teen Survival Camp - June 19-23
Campers enjoy canoeing, hiking, sleeping one night under the stars, outdoor cooking, rock climbing, and much more, all while learning learning a host of new and exciting skills such as fire building, shelter building, cooking on an open fire, navigation, teamwork, and leadership while strengthening and developing character and a close walk with Christ. No prior survival training or experience is needed. This week is for teen guys and girls entering the 7th - 12th grades. The total cost is $85.00.
Extreme Adventure Camp (teens only) - June 26 - July 1
An intense week of extreme outdoors. This week is for teens with outdoor adventure experience. Campers must be in good physical condition. Campers will enjoy all of the fun of our traditional week of Survival camp as well as a host of difficult and thrilling challenges. Over the six days campers will backpack and hike over 25 miles in their quest for adventure. This week is for teen guys and girls entering the 7th - 12th grades. The total cost is $95.00. (Campers attending both "Teen Survival" & "Extreme Adventure" weeks will receive a reduced rate of $75.00 and $85.00.)
"A.R.T." Camp (teen guys only) - July 3 - 7
At Risk Teens - This week is for teen guys age 13 - 17. If you are having difficulty with your teenage boy, this is the week for him. While deep in the Appalachian forests, we isolate young men from the rest of the world in an environment where they can develop a healthy and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Our trained staff will attempt to meet each camper at his specific level of spiritual need. Our challenge course is uniquely designed to teach character and leadership while learning to work together as a group. Whether in trouble or on his way to trouble, a week at The Wilderness can help. The total cost is $95.00.
