The Young Peoples Center for Creative Arts
Summer Address:

Following Morning Watch, mornings are spent in workshops of each child's choosing. Workshops offered in
the past include: Show Choir, Music Theater Chorus, Comedy Improvisation, Monologues, Audition
Seminar, and Jewelry Making. Throughout the course of the camp, students will be able to participate in
four different workshops.
In addition, the entire camp meets once a day to rehearse for a production number included in our
Parent's Night performance. Last year's production number was "The Circle of Life" from the Tony Award
winning musical, The Lion King.
Afternoons at camp are spent in rehearsal for our musical. Rehearsals include vocal work, choreography
and blocking the show. All actors may not be rehearsing at all times so it gives campers some good time
to socialize. This year's production is the Broadway classic, Grease.
We end the day with a short session of Drama Games before our 2:45 dismissal.
Students bring their own lunch and juice is provided. We also have a half hour outdoor games period for
kids to get some fresh air and sunshine!
