Threshold Academy's Summer Camp was created to provide a place for kids to come that would bridge the ever-growing summer gap in services provided by schools. Although we are not focusing on specific academic skills, the campers will be in an environment that enhances learning and social skills. Over the 6-week program, campers will partake in a variety of activities ranging from water activities to field day games. We are hoping to get local companies involved that will allow us to expand our activities to things like horseback riding, petting zoos, carnivals, etc. The camp will be broken down into two age ranges, 5 to 12 and 13 to 17. All campers will be supervised by our trained and caring staff who have experience working with Autism and related diagnoses in a variety of different settings (educational, in-home, and group home environments). Tuition is based on a small group ratio of one staff to three campers. If your son or daughter is not able to safely function in this ratio, tuition can be adjusted to fit your needs. Summer Camp dates and times are as follows: Monday, June 13th to Friday, July 29th from 9am to 1pm. Currently, the only day in which camp will not be in session is Monday, July 4th. Tuition is due at the beginning of each week and must be made for the number of days you plan on having your son/daughter attending. We must do it in this manner as to ensure appropriate staffing during the day. As mentioned previously, there will be before/after-care provided at an additional cost.
