Ticino Summer Camp
Summer Address:
Our summer program has a dual focus. Sports and Filmmaking. Most days are divided into three parts. The first part of the day is for Filmmaking. Each student brings a digital video camera and fire wire cable and learns how to film, edit and create a DVD short film during the session. The second part of the day is dedicated to learning or improving a specific sport. Each student chooses to focus on Soccer, Tennis, or Windsurfing and for five afternoons a week he/she receives lessons in the chosen sport by trained professional instructors at a world-class sports complex. The third part of the day is for whole group social activities, including, but not limited to excursions to nearby towns, mini-golf, bowling, computer classes, shopping, go karts, barbeques, beach parties, films, and festivals. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to each of our students. From the quality of the hotel experience to the effectiveness of the film and sports instruction, each student is sure to have a summer to remember.
Ticino Summer Camp is located near the picturesque town of Ascona in the Italian-speaking canton of southern Switzerland, named Ticino. Known for its exceptionally mild climate and sunny days, Ascona is surrounded by beautiful lakes and lush mountain valleys. Campers enjoy mountain and lake views, ancient villages, and a Mediterranean climate. This area is a cosmopolitan resort visited by people from all over the world.
Hotel:
Our students stay in beautiful hotel apartments at the Hotel Brenscino in Brissago, a hotel with delicious cuisine taken in the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The campers also can enjoy the hotels private swimming pool, mini golf, tennis courts, botanical gardens, and private bowling alley.
Sports Complex:
All sports instruction takes place with trained instructors at the famous Centro Sportivo in Tenero, which has the facilities for all kinds of summer sports including, but not limited to, soccer, squash, tennis, skate parks, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, surf biking, rollerblading, basketball, swimming and diving, rock climbing, and beach volleyball. The Centro Sportivo in Tenero is a world-class facility specially designed for young athletes from all over the world as they train. Each instructor is highly trained and dedicated to teaching sports.

Ticino Summer Camp

This extraordinary program of sports and filmmaking, including all living expenses, fine cuisine, services of the hotel, film instruction, qualified sport instruction at a world class facility, evening events, and transportation to and from all activities will cost $ 3800 USD. Pocket money and airfare are not included, and each camper needs to bring a digital video camera and a fire wire cable.
