Nestled in the Rockies Just south of Jackson Hole Wyoming and tucked against the Hoback River and the Bridger Teton National Forest, the University of Michigans Camp Davis provides an amazing and unparalleled learning experience.  Nearby Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons rise majestically producing mountain uplifts, exposed thrust belts and the effects of alpine glaciations. Landslides, Living Glaciers, and meandering mountain streams combine with Eagles, Elk, Wolves and Grizzly to provide a Classroom that truly comes Alive!

Established in 1929, and situated on 120 acres of remote University-owned Property, Camp Davis has a varied and Colorful History. Quarters are truly Western Rustic.  Surrounded by sagebrush, and flanked by National Forest each bunkhouse sleeps three to four people, Frigid running water and cast iron wood burning stoves are provided throughout.  separate Mens and Womens Showers are shared by all, and meals are eaten family style in a large and colorful mess hall.  Laundry facilities are located in Jackson Hole, and transportation is provided several times a week.  Pool, foosball, and ping-pong tables are located in a large recreation hall, and a modern computer lab provides high-speed Internet access for everyone.

Camp Davis faculty include full Professors from U of M and around the globe, each on the forefront of research in their respective fields.  Professor to students ratios are typically 1:12, providing for an intimate and attentive learning process. At Camp Davis, Teaching Goes Vertical.

Abundant wildlife, Invigorating alpine waterfalls, pristine fly fishing streams, and hiking in an old growth forest are just a few of the endless recreational possibilities.  White water kayaking and rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, and mountaineering are available for the adventurous souls.  Clean mountain air, ice-cold spring water, and beautiful star filled skies help to relax and rejuvenate. At Camp Davis you dont just see it, you feel it!
