Since its inception in 2003, DEEP has brought together over 4000 like-minded students to explore some of the most innovative topics in engineering and science todaytaught by some of our Facultys top Alumni, Ph.D. and Masters students. This program has been designed to expose bright young minds with an aptitude for math and science to concepts and topics beyond the regular secondary school curriculum.

The DEEP Summer Academy 2011 runs Monday through Friday for 4 weeks during the month of July at the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto, located in downtown Toronto.
Week 1: July 4 8, 2011
Week 2: July 11 15, 2011*
Week 3: July 18 22, 2011
Week 4 (Design Week): July 25 29, 2011
DEEP courses tackle some of the most interesting and innovative topics being studied within the fields of engineering, technology, applied science and business.
Courses are designed into subject areas or streams for the first three weeks of DEEP. Week 4 of DEEP is called DEEP Design Week. DEEP Design Week offers capstone courses that challenge students to put their knowledge to the test by tackling real-world engineering design projects. DEEP Design Week gives students a hands-on look at what engineering design is all about. Students wishing to participate in DEEP Design Week must also take at least one DEEP course in Weeks 1, 2 or 3.
